01 / What she does

A cofounder with a desk of her own. Here is what she does at it.

The website

She writes the website, and keeps it current.

Give her the idea in a sentence. She suggests a name, writes the page, and rewrites only the part each of your answers changes. Later, a change takes one sentence.

The inbox

She keeps an inbox of her own.

Every company gets its own address for Sylvii. Forward her the emails that matter, and they are on her desk when you ask about them.

The conversation

She talks the company through with you.

Ask her anything about the business. She reads the profile, the site and the inbox before she answers, and turns a decision into a draft you can accept.

The night shift

She works the night, and briefs you at eight.

At two in the morning she goes over the profile, the website and the inbox, and writes down what she found. At eight, in your time zone, the briefing is in your inbox: what she did, and what needs you.

Her computer

She has a computer of her own.

Hand her the desk work: a price list as a PDF, a spreadsheet of the season’s costs, a deck for a stockist. She works it through on her own computer, keeps the files there for the next task, and saves each finished one for you to review. A task she suggests in the chat starts only when you say yes. She sends nothing herself: what goes out is up to you.

02 / How it works

From one sentence to a company online. About four minutes to your first website.

  1. 01

Say the idea in a sentence.

Or the name of the business you already run. Then sign up with your email.

  2. 02

Pick a name, and watch the page appear.

Sylvii suggests names written for the idea, and builds the first page while you choose.

  3. 03

    Answer her five questions.

Each comes with a recommended answer, so most of the time you just say yes. Every answer rewrites the part of the page it belongs to.

  4. 04

Publish it, and hand her the desk.

Once she knows your customer and your offer, the site can be published. From then on she keeps the inbox, takes on the desk work at her own computer, and briefs you each morning.

03 / An example week · Maison Oriel

A week as a company of two. Remy made the perfume. Sylvii kept the desk.

  • 5

night shifts, each followed by a briefing at eight

  • 3

changes to the website, each drafted from one sentence

  • 2

files made on her computer, each saved for Remy to review

  • 9

emails forwarded to her desk, there when Remy asked about them

An illustration, not a promise: your week depends on your business.

  • One cofounder, by name

You talk to Sylvii, who knows the whole company. There is no team of bots to manage.

  • She writes only to your team

Her email goes to you and the people on your team, and no one else.

  • Facts, not guesses

Her briefings report only what really happened, from her own records.

  • Yours to keep

The company, its website and what Sylvii knows about it belong to you.
